![]() The Welsh wizards’ return has been justly celebrated, reminding us that Gruff Rhys and his charges are one of the UK’s great musical treasures. Not to mention Razorlight, Levellers and De La Soul in some unexpected throwbacks! So here are our top five acts… It is the music that really pulls you in though, and it’s quite a line-up the colourful festival promises – ranging from a set of eclectic DJs to established favourites old and new. If you live within commuting distance of the venue – for that read Brighton, London or Eastbourne – Forgotten Fields will get you there by shuttle, so the chance to enjoy a day or two outside of the camping experience also exists. The five stages are bolstered by a World Cinema, a Real Ale Festival (including the festival’s own brew!) and Site Art, with the added promise of world food, boutique camping and a family friendly environment. Devised on a small scale, with a capacity of just 4,000, the idea is to throw a three day festival that offers good music but a whole lot more besides. ![]() What’s not to like about the Forgotten Fields festival? It is on paper the perfect smaller scale party, thrown by the organisers of Kendal Calling – who have decided to ply their trade further south in the beautiful Eridge Park, close to Tunbridge Wells in East Sussex.
